Not every boat tour needs to be a full-day island adventure. Sometimes the best way to end a day in Brela is with 90 minutes on the water, a glass of wine in hand, watching the sun drop below the horizon. That’s exactly what the Sunset Tour is about.
A different kind of tour
Our island-hopping tours are built around destinations. You visit places, swim in specific bays, explore towns. The sunset tour is different. There’s no checklist of stops to rush through. The point is the atmosphere: warm light on the cliffs, the sound of the engine fading as you drift, and the coastline revealing itself from an angle you can’t get from shore.
The boat departs from Brela harbour in the evening, timed so you’re on the water during golden hour. The exact departure changes through the season to match the sunset.
Brela Stone at golden hour
One of the first things you’ll see is Kamen Brela, the iconic rock formation just off Punta Rata beach. It’s one of the most photographed spots on the entire Makarska Riviera, and for good reason. But seeing it from the water at golden hour, with the cliffs glowing orange behind it, is something else entirely. This is the moment to have your camera ready.

From there, the boat follows the coastline south, passing cliffs, pine-covered slopes, and small coves that are invisible from the road above.

Swimming at Vruja Cove
The tour includes a swimming stop at Vruja Cove, one of the more unusual spots along this stretch of coast. A freshwater spring flows directly into the sea here, creating water that’s noticeably cooler and clearer than the surrounding area. The mix of fresh and salt water gives it a particular clarity that you can feel the moment you jump in.
It’s a short swim, not a long beach session, but the water is memorable. Most guests say it’s the most refreshing swim of their trip.

Wine and Dalmatian snacks on the water
Back on the boat, there’s a tasting of local Croatian wine paired with traditional Dalmatian food. Nothing elaborate, just honest local flavours enjoyed in the best possible setting. Eating and drinking on a gently rocking boat while the sky turns pink is a hard combination to beat.
Who is it for?
The sunset tour works for almost anyone. Couples looking for a romantic evening, families with kids who’ve had enough of the beach for the day, or friends who want to do something different after dinner. It’s available as both a group and a private experience, so you can choose the format that fits.
Because it’s only 90 minutes, it doesn’t take over your evening. You’re back in time for a late dinner in Brela, and you’ll have a phone full of photos that look like postcards.

There’s no rushing on this one. The whole point is to slow down, look around, and enjoy being exactly where you are.
