The 3 Best Boat Tours from Brela

The 3 Best Boat Tours from Brela

Flotilla Dorada

We run three group speedboat tours from Brela, and each one covers different islands, different highlights, and a different amount of time on the water. People often ask which one is the best. The real answer depends on what you’re looking for, so here’s an honest comparison.

3 Islands - Blue Tour (5 hours)

The Blue Tour is built around the Little Blue Cave, a sea cave on the island of Brač where sunlight filters through the water and paints the walls in shades of blue. Swimming inside the cave is the standout moment. It’s the kind of thing that looks almost too good to be real.

The full route takes you through Pokrivenik Bay for a swimming stop, then to the Little Blue Cave, on to the harbour town of Jelsa on Hvar for free time and coffee, and finally to the island of Zečevo and a hidden bay on Brač.

This tour works best for people who want a mix of nature and a charming island town. It covers a lot of ground in 5 hours without ever feeling rushed. If you’re not sure what to book and want a well-rounded day, the Blue Tour is a safe and satisfying choice.

3 Islands - Dorada Tour (5 hours)

The Dorada Tour leads with Zlatni Rat, one of Europe’s most famous beaches. The long pebble tongue that stretches into the sea is impressive from any angle, but from the water it’s something special. There’s time to swim and walk along the beach before the tour continues.

From Zlatni Rat, the route heads to the island of Zečevo, then to Vrboska, a quiet and beautiful village on Hvar sometimes called “Little Venice” for its canal and stone bridges. The final stop is Mala Stiniva, a narrow cove hidden between high cliffs that feels completely cut off from the rest of the world.

This tour is the best pick if you want a combination of iconic landmarks and hidden spots that most tourists never find. Mala Stiniva alone is worth the trip.

Premium Hvar Tour (10 hours)

The Premium Tour is the full-day option. Ten hours, four major stops, and an onboard picnic with local wine and Dalmatian food between destinations.

The route starts at Zlatni Rat, continues to a Cold War submarine tunnel carved into the coast of Brač, then moves to the Pakleni Islands for swimming in turquoise lagoons at Palmižana and Marinkovac. The tour finishes with 3 or more hours of free time in Hvar Town, one of Croatia’s most famous destinations.

This is the tour for people who want everything in one day: landmarks, history, nature, world-class swimming, and an afternoon exploring a beautiful town. It’s longer and it’s a bigger investment, but the breadth of what you see is unmatched.

So which one should you book?

It comes down to time and priorities.

If you have half a day and want a proven, varied route, the Blue Tour or the Dorada Tour will both deliver. Choose the Blue Tour for the cave experience and Jelsa, or the Dorada Tour for Zlatni Rat and the hidden cove at Mala Stiniva.

If you have a full day and want to see as much as possible, the Premium Tour covers the most ground and includes the most variety.

Looking for something more relaxed? The Sunset Tour is a 90-minute evening cruise along the Brela coast with wine and a swim at Vruja Cove. It’s a completely different vibe, and you can read more about it in our sunset tour guide.

And if you want full control over the route, stops, and timing, a private tour lets you build your own day from scratch. Our private vs group comparison covers the details.
